President's Greeting

President’s Greetings

On behalf of GETS, welcome to our website.

GETS’s initial vision was to cultivate church ministers and leaders in Europe. Later the vision was expanded to include the training of church leaders in Asia. After the reorganization and expansion in 2010, GETS enlarged the vision to include the cultivation of theological educators. Today, GETS graduates are serving the Lord in all five continents.

We are convicted of the truth that theology and our daily lives are closely intertwined. It is through theology that people grasp the truth and its origin, Jesus Christ. Theological education helps transform students’ thought, enrich their lives, change their perspectives and paradigms, and root every aspect of their lives in faith. Theology guides people how to explicate and apply their faith in their cultural contexts as well as to respond biblically the challenges of the times. Under the premises of honoring God, seeking unity, and exercising mutual respect, theological education equips workers for the development of the church. The ultimate goal is that Christ be the head over all things “to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ” (Ephesians 1:10, 22).

The theological contours of GETS conform to evangelical faith. These are our core values:

  1. Being faithful, committed to, and passionate about GETS’s vision, mission, and goals
  2. Striving for excellence in teaching, publication, and work
  3. Demonstrating integrity both in personal character and in the school’s spirit
  4. Expressing love and humility in service, study, and interpersonal relationships

We are committed to investing in God’s kingdom and developing kingdom workers to bring in people who will become committed to kingdom-living so that they can inherit kingdom blessings and live out the glory of kingdom-citizens. We believe that one day we can claim, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever” (Revelation 11:15).

Thank you for your support, prayers, and commitment to theological education. May God richly bless you!
