President's Greeting

On behalf of GETS, welcome to our website.

Our initial vision and mission was to train Chinese-speaking preachers and lay leaders in Europe; later the Spirit led us to go to Asia. In 2010, GETS underwent restructuring and expansion, shifting the focus to more formal theological education. We now have graduates serving the Lord in both Europe and Asia.

We believe that theology is rooted in our daily lives, and therefore is always practical. Through theology people come to know the truth, and to know the origin of that truth, Jesus Christ. Theological reflection helps transform our thinking, elevate our worldviews, enrich our lives, and root our faith in every aspect of our lives. We aim to train students who are capable of doing theology in their unique cultural contexts and are willing to answer their timely calling. As a theological seminary, our first priority is to help local churches by educating their ministers. As a Christian institution, we seek to magnify our Lord and make every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit and to honor our brothers and sisters in Jesus. Our hope lies in Christ, who is the head of all creations, as stated in Ephesians 1:10, 22 (NIV):“to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ”,“And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church”.

GETS is rooted in evangelical faith. Our core values are:

  1. To be faithful and committed to our vision, mission and goals
  2. To excel in our work of education and publication
  3. To establish a culture of integrity among our students and faculty.
  4. To serve with humility and love.

We are committed to investing in God's Kingdom by cultivating kingdom workers who will be able to convert people to kingdom citizens who shall inherit the blessings of the kingdom and shine as God's children. We firmly believe there will come a day when we can say,“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever” (Rev 11:15).
We appreciate your support, prayers, and commitment to theological education. May God richly bless you!
